TiviMate Premium is the paid upgrade of TiviMate, the Android TV player app known for its cable-style TV guide. It unlocks extra app features; it does not add channels. TiviMate’s own site is clear on this: the app is a media player only, and a paid upgrade “unlocks application features only” without providing any content (tivimate.com). Your channels come from the IPTV service you sign in to. If you are still choosing a player, our comparison of the best IPTV player apps covers the alternatives on each device.
How much does TiviMate Premium cost?
| Option | Price (set by the developer) | Devices |
|---|---|---|
| Free version | $0 | No limit stated |
| Premium, yearly | About $10 a year | Up to 5 |
| Premium, lifetime | About $35 once | Up to 5 |
Prices can change, so check the amount in the app before paying. Premium is paid to TiviMate’s developer and is separate from your IPTV plan: with BestIPTVforUSA, your plan covers the service, and the player license is your choice.
Features listed on tivimate.com
TiviMate’s site lists these features of the player; some are in the free version and some need Premium:
- Multiple playlists, to manage and switch between several logins.
- Favorite channels, for quick access to the channels you watch most.
- Search across channels and programs.
- Multiview, to watch different channels at the same time on one screen.
- Catch-up, to replay past programs on channels that support it.
- Recording, to save programs for later.
- Parental controls.
- Personalization of the look and layout.
The app shows which of these require Premium on your version. Our TiviMate setup guide lists recording, several playlists, custom channel groups and guide options among the Premium features.
How to activate TiviMate Premium
TiviMate runs on Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV and Android phones. The path below goes through the TiviMate Companion app, which works for a Fire TV or any device without Google Play:

- On an Android phone, install the TiviMate Companion app from Google Play. Its listing describes it as the app that unlocks Premium functionality on devices without Google Play and manages your activated devices (Google Play).
- Buy Premium in the companion app and create or sign in to your account.
- On the TV, open TiviMate and sign in with the same account.
TiviMate itself installs on a Fire TV with Downloader code 272483; our list of Downloader codes has the details, and the TiviMate setup guide covers adding your playlist.
Is TiviMate Premium worth it?
It depends on how you watch:
| You… | Free version | Premium |
|---|---|---|
| Watch live TV with the guide | Enough | Not needed |
| Want to record programs | Worth it | |
| Use more than one playlist or login | Worth it | |
| Want several channels on screen at once | Worth it | |
| Watch on up to 5 devices at home | The lifetime option spreads the cost |
A sensible approach: install the free version, sign in with your IPTV login, use it for a week, and upgrade only if you miss a specific feature. The 24-hour free trial is a good moment to test the free version on your own TV.
TiviMate Premium and your TV guide
Premium does not change the guide data itself: the listings come from your IPTV service. If the guide is empty or shows the wrong times, the fix is in the EPG settings, not in the upgrade. Our article on IPTV EPG explains how to refresh the guide and correct the time offset.
TiviMate Premium compared with other paid players
TiviMate is not the only player with a paid option. Here is how the costs compare, all paid to each app’s developer and separate from your IPTV plan:
| Player | Paid option | What you pay for |
|---|---|---|
| TiviMate | About $10 a year or $35 lifetime, up to 5 devices | Extra app features such as recording |
| IBO Player Pro | About $8 once per device after a 7-day trial | Device activation, no typing |
| ELK Player | About €6 once per device after a 14-day trial | Device activation |
| Smarters Player Lite (Apple devices) | Optional $1.99 premium upgrade | Extra app features |
If you only need the TV guide and live channels, a free player covers it. If you have several TVs and want recording, TiviMate’s lifetime option covering up to 5 devices can be the simplest single purchase. It buys the app only: an IPTV lifetime subscription for channels is a different, riskier purchase.
Managing your Premium devices
The TiviMate Companion app also manages the devices activated on your Premium account. When you replace a Fire TV stick or reset a box, remove the old device in the companion app to free its place, then sign in on the new one. Keep the account email you used for the purchase: you need it to sign in on every TV.
Common questions before you upgrade
Does Premium work on iPhone, Roku or Samsung TVs? No. TiviMate runs on Android devices, including Fire TV; on other devices, use the players recommended in our setup guides.
Do I need a new purchase for each TV? No, one Premium account covers up to 5 devices.
Is TiviMate Premium the same as an IPTV subscription? No. It is a license for the player app. You still need an IPTV service to sign in to, such as our IPTV subscription plans.
Questions people ask
How much is TiviMate Premium?
About $10 a year or $35 for a lifetime license, covering up to 5 devices. The price is set by TiviMate's developer and can change, so check it in the app or the companion app before you pay.
Does TiviMate work without Premium?
Yes. The free version plays live TV, the TV guide and the on-demand content of the service you sign in to. Premium adds extra features on top.
What does TiviMate Premium include?
It unlocks additional app features. TiviMate's site lists features such as multiple playlists, favorites, search, multiview, catch-up, recording, parental controls and layout personalization; the app shows which ones need Premium.
How many devices can I use with TiviMate Premium?
Up to 5 devices on one Premium account at the time of writing; check tivimate.com for the current terms. You manage the activated devices in the TiviMate Companion app.
Why can't I buy TiviMate Premium on my Fire TV?
Fire TV devices do not have Google Play, so the purchase goes through the TiviMate Companion app, which is installed on an Android phone. You buy Premium there, then sign in with the same account in TiviMate on the TV.
